PAYMENTS

Full payment is required at the time of ordering to secure your booking. No order will be commenced until full payment has been received. 

Once your payment has been received, we will confirm your order via email.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Standard Orders:

If you wish to cancel/reschedule your order, this is to be done at least 7 days before your booking. All requests must be received in writing. The Other Cake will endeavour to accommodate new dates but rescheduling cannot be guaranteed. If cancellation/reschedule occurs after the order has already started production (7 days prior) you will forfeit your payment. From 7 days prior to your booking, no refunds can be made.

Cancelled orders which take place 7 days prior to your booking date are eligible for a refund. Cancellations after this time forfeit the full payment.

Weddings & Special Events:

If you wish to cancel/reschedule your order for a wedding or special event, this is to be done 30 days before your booking. All requests must be received in writing. The Other Cake will endeavour to accommodate new dates but rescheduling cannot be guaranteed. If cancellation/reschedule occurs after the order has already started production (30 days prior) you will forfeit your payment. From 30 days prior to your booking, no refunds can be made.

Cancelled wedding & special event orders which take place 30 days prior to your booking date are eligible for a refund less 20% administration fee of the full value of your booking. Cancellations after this time forfeit the full payment.

VARIATIONS

Where products are not available due to unforeseen circumstances, The Other Cake will contact you to arrange appropriate substitutions or alterations. The Other Cake is not liable for products which are unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. Images on our website show examples only of cake decorations. Where the same fresh florals, fruits, nuts or other decorations cannot be sourced a similar substitute will be used without notice. Changes to your order must be made within 7 days of the booking. The Other Cake will endeavour to accommodate changes but changes cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability. The Other Cake reserves the right to amend pricing to suit changes made.

DELIVERY

Someone must be present to accept an order at the time of delivery. Delivery times will be arranged with you in advance. If no one is available to accept a delivery, The Other Cake can re-deliver once only at a newly agreed time at an extra charge.

Pick up is available from our studio. Pick up address & times will be arranged with you in advance. Failure to collect without notice will incur a collection fee which must be paid prior to rearranging your pick up date and time.

The Other Cake is not liable for any damage to the cake or products once they are delivered and in the care of a client or the venue. Where a client elects to self-transport, we are not responsible for any damage caused during transportation.

STORAGE

Cake should always be stored refrigerated until 1-2 hours before display. When out of fridge, cakes must be displayed in a cool space and out of direct sunlight.

FORCE MAJEURE

In the event that The Other Cake is unable to perform its obligations under the terms of this agreement, due to unforeseen events and/or causes beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government action or interference for any reason, labour shortages, national emergencies (including pandemics and other health emergencies) and acts of war, The Other Cake will not be liable.

In placing an order you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
